Facebook is a social network site where you can share messages and photos etc. with friends and colleagues. LinkedIn is a similar website only with a more serious intention, namely to become linked with you colleagues and possibly future employers.
The WAPS council has a page on both websites where you can post messages and photos or start a discussion with your colleague PhD students from WIAS.
